Creating a “Bridal Sash”

Are you currently planning your wedding? Or are you assisting your bestie in planning theirs? One thing you should NOT forget during all this fantastic chaos is the “Bridal Sash”! Sounds corny, but brides, this is your time to shine! This is your time for all the pink-champagne-glitter-rose-bridal attention you can handle! Now, I’m sure you can purchase a Bridal Sash at most party supply stores, but if you want something uniquely yours, I highly recommend asking a crafty friend to make one for you! Maybe you are that crafty friend and you are in charge of organizing the bridal shower, bachelorette party or bridal brunch! This will put it over the top! All you need to create your own epic Bridal Sash is:
*Ribbon*Glitter Glue*Sticker Gems*Vintage Pin*Scissors Although any craft store will do, I went to Walmart to purchase my ribbon ($3.00), glitter glue ($1.50) and sticker gems ($1.50). I thought up my color scheme of cream and gold (classic) before heading to the store as I knew there would be a ton of options. With my items purchased, it was time to begin creating!I wanted the ribbon for my sash to have a bit more firmness to it. So I grabbed the iron and spray starch (the best) and gave my ribbon a little sprucing up. Once pressed and starched, I took a pencil and traced the word “Bride” onto the ribbon. I then took my glitter glue and filled in my letters. For a little “extra” I used the glitter glue and a clear sticker gem to create a diamond ring on the sash! I let the glitter glue sit for 24 hours. Once dry, my sash was ready to be worn! I used a vintage rhinestone pin for my closure but any pin, new or old, will do nicely! Now, give your sash tails a quick snip with the scissors and viola, your Bridal Sash is complete! Be prepared, the sash will make your bride feel like a beauty queen/pretty pretty princess….hilarity will ensue!
